I DISAGREE

I chose an ordinary brick used for building foundations, name: “concrete foundation block,” dimensions: 12 x 24 x 38 cm, weight: 25 kg.
It is heavy, very difficult for me to lift. This weight is connected with the feeling that always accompanies me when I think about what happens behind the walls of such places. I use it and reverse its effect. I write down the geographical coordinates of the slaughterhouse in Kutno, the largest slaughterhouse in Poland, and underneath them, the words “I do not agree to this,” which until now had only been spoken in my mind. The stone becomes a visualization of my opposition. An opposition that is spoken, present, and, through its weight and the material used, permanent.

NIE ZGADZAM SIĘ
obiekt; blok betonowy fundamentowy + grawer + wtarta w litery ziemia.
Wybrałam zwykłą cegłę, używaną do budowy fundamentów, nazwa: „blok betonowy fundamentowy”, wymiary: 12 x 24 x 38 cm, waga: 25 kg.
Jest ciężki, bardzo trudno mi go udźwignąć. Ciężar ten łączy się z uczuciem, które towarzyszy mi zawsze, kiedy myślę o tym, co dzieje się za murami takich miejsc. Wykorzystuję go i odwracam jego działanie. Zapisuję współrzędne geograficzne rzeźni w Kutnie, największej rzeźni w Polsce, a pod nimi wypowiadane dotąd jedynie w myślach słowa „Nie zgadzam się na to”. Kamień staje się wizualizacją mojego sprzeciwu. Sprzeciwem wypowiedzianym, obecnym i poprzez swój ciężar i użyty materiał – trwałym.
